Ann-Katrin Petersen is a Senior Investment Strategist and member of the Global Economics & Strategy team at Allianz Global Investors.

​

In her current role, she is responsible for developing macroeconomic research and providing top-town asset allocation advice to the firm’s fundamentally driven portfolio management teams. In addition to being a member of several multi-asset and fixed income investment committee working groups, Mrs. Petersen also serves as a core spokesperson, communicating the firm’s high-conviction investment ideas and views to clients and international media. This involves regular market commentary published in up to nine languages, live TV interviews to CNBC and Bloomberg, as well as interviews and press events with leading financial journalists, including the Wall Street Journal.

Before joining Allianz Global Investors, Mrs. Petersen worked as Economist Europe at Allianz SE's Group Economic Research. In the midst of the sovereign debt crisis she was responsible for analysing economic, financial and political developments in the euro area for internal and external clients worldwide.

Mrs. Petersen studied at the University of Bayreuth and the University of Nottingham and graduated with a diploma degree in Economics. She also holds a B.A. in Philosophy & Economics.
